We are looking for a dependable, active, motivated, hands on General Manager to be responsible for the direct management of our self storage property in Bridgeport, CT.
The General Manager should possess high energy, expert communication, and relationship building skills, paired with outstanding customer service and sales experience.
Previous self storage experience a plus.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the ability to work well independently and as a team, while keeping a strong sense of ownership attitude.
Role and Responsibilities The Property Manager should possess high energy, be able to multi-task, and create a positive environment for staff and tenants.
This professional should be highly focused on customer service, and 100% reliable.
Deliver excellent customer service Drive sales goals Meet and exceed financial objectives Focused on tenant safety, satisfaction and retention Marketing of property, on and off-site Hire, train and manage property staff Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Ensure compliance with tenant paperwork and files Coordination and oversight of vendors Rent collection, financial reporting and handling of accounts payable Responsible for budget creation and adherence Resolve all day-to-day property management issues Reports to Regional Manager Attendance is an essential job function Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Education Requirements Excellent customer service and sales skills Excellent verbal and written skills Previous self storage experience (Preferred) A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience (Preferred) Focused on achieving and exceeding objectives Proficiency in computer skills including Word, Excel and Email Must have the ability to create relationships/rapport with tenants; ability to work with a diverse array of people and customers Must be adaptable; able to multi-task, prioritize and thrive in a varying-paced environment Professional appearance and demeanor High school diploma or equivalent required, college preferred Must consent to pre-employment background check and drug screen (Excluding Marijuana results) Hold a valid Driver's License and have reliable transportation Benefits $60,000/year salary, including performance based bonus programs Health Insurance Dental Insurance Paid vacation, holiday and sick days Group Life Insurance 401K with employer contribution Facility Office Hours:
