Our client, a leading manufacturer of consumer packaging, is seeking an Industrial Design Engineer at their facility near Bridgeport, CT.
The Opportunity
The Design Engineer will work closely with clients on product design, development, refinement and customization for new product launches.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Develop initial packaging design concepts using CAD (Pro-E) software
Work with Engineering / Design teams from key global and domestic customers
Reviews technical proposals with internal departments for feasibility and cost
Review designs with customers to gain final project approval
Develop timelines and work with Purchasing, Technical Service, Planning, MFG & Quality
Work with Sales and Finance to develop cost estimates for products, tooling and assembly
Work with plastics and manufacturing engineers at locations including France and Italy
Develop project timelines, critical activities and key milestones
Monitors actions to assure all dates are met and products meet customer specifications
Direct and manage activities leading through manufacturing line trials and first production
Requirements
BS Degree; Mechanical / Packaging Engineer or Industrial Design
5
Years minimum experience in
Bilingual French / English preferred
Experience in plastic part design, injection mold design, product costing, project management
Packaging design experience in personal care, cosmetic or beauty products

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
