Job Description This position is responsible for assisting producers with the development and retention of business.
Principal
Responsibilities:
Negotiates and affects client coverages under the guidance of producers.
Assists producers in the preparation and marketing of renewal underwriting submissions using knowledge of underwriting requirements for large commercial accounts.
Surveys policy coverages, obtains completed exposure checklist and identifies cross-selling and upgrading opportunities for assigned clients.
Responds to, and resolves client inquiries regarding exposure, coverage, contract analysis and any non-insurance matters of importance to the client.
Reviews compliance requirements and takes corrective action as needed.
Acts as a resource to CID Client Services Assistants and CID Client Service Reps.
May participate in special projects.
Job Requirements High School diploma or equivalency required.
2-5 yrs relevant experience.
Property Casualty license required.
Completion of, or enrollment in, Associate in Risk Management and/or Charter Property Casualty Underwriter courses are desirable.
Job Specific Competencies:
Proven ability to handle limited number of assigned accounts in a highly effective and efficient manner.
Strong PC skills, including word processing, spreadsheets and agency management system.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary to provide courteous and professional client service.
Organizational skills and attention to detail are required to perform administrative and technical tasks in a highly efficient manner.
Ability to work well with a team and share knowledge and skills with CID Client Service Assistants and CID CSRs.
Ability to handle escalated situations using strong interpersonal and problem solving skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and use discretion when faced with routine decisions.
