Job Description BOOKKEEPER/ADMIN NEEDED ASAP-TEMP TO HIRE OPPORTUNITY! ABOUT THE COMPANY ADMIN/BOOKKEEPER OPPORTUNITY: Our client, located in Fairfield County is in the automotive industry and seeking a Bookkeeper/Admin to join their team due to an upcoming vacancy in the Accounting department. The current Bookkeeper just gave their notice after being with the company for 7 years, and they would like to get as much overlap as possible before their last day which is scheduled to be next Friday! This is a fast-paced work environment within a small/team-oriented office space. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF ADMIN/BOOKKEEPER: This role is very clerical in nature, but all staff is cross-trained and this person will be assisting with AP AR in addition to their day to day responsibilities. The Bookkeeper/Admin will report to the Office Manager. o breakdown deals, ensuring all paperwork is in place and complete post-sale o prepare a packet of necessary documents to the bank for financing purposes o online work will include: ensuring that the correct vehicles are delivered, Vin number on the factory invoices matches the contracts which match whats registered with the DMV o The deal will then be costed and posted into the ledger- recording the sale and the costs o Commission the deal - determine what is commission worthy vs not for the sales ppl and the Finance Manager o Volume is typically around 200-300 deals per month for used and new cars, however, the volume will vary day to day o Contracts will need to be packaged and submitted monthly to the insurance company o Balance paperwork monthly o Cross-train- some AP, AR, service tickets, cash receipts, etc. (NO payroll) EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: o Great attention to detail! o Ability to identify any issues/mistakes o Auto experience is a strong PLUS, but not required o Someone self-motivated, confident and able to dig/do research to resolve any discrepancies o The ability to work with a variety of personality types and disciplines o bookkeeping background- debits v credits, how to handle calculations, etc. o Basic Excel skills Not interested?? Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
